For cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and other small pets — yes, Feed Visits can cover you for as long as you're away. For dogs it's different: a dog is never left on their own for more than 24 hours, so Pop-In Visits are capped at that. Going away longer than 24 hours with a dog? Why can't Feed Visits cover a dog for a full holiday the way they do smaller pets?

Dogs need regular exercise and company in a way cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and birds don't — leaving a dog for a full holiday with just check-in visits isn't fair on the dog. That's why dogs are capped at 24 hours under Pop-In Visits, while Feed Visits for small pets can run for the length of your trip.

How many visits will my pet get in a day?

Accepted Answer

It depends how close you are to West Malling — for local clients that can mean two or more visits a day, but it's agreed directly with you rather than fixed here, since multiple visits a day isn't realistic for areas further out. Ring to discuss what works for your dates and location.

How much notice do you need for holiday cover?

As much as you can give, since holiday periods get booked up — but get in touch even at short notice and Juliet or Shane will let you know honestly if it's possible.
