Dog Walks in Farningham Woods Nature Reserve.

It’s great to have this wonderful area of natural beauty right on our doorstep.

I had no idea it it was opened by Sir David Attenborough in September 1986. Did you?

There are 168 acres to explore so on my treks I never get bored repeating the same walks. Every path leads to a different vista - views across Farningham and Sevenoaks to the South or Dartford to the the North.

My dogs love running in and out the trees chasing each other and if we find an open grassy area they often stop for a roll or two.

The Nature Reserve is home to the Small-Leaved Lime, a rare tree which is only found on one other site in Kent, and several other unusual plants, including the largest British colony of the nationally rare Deptford Pink, which I have actually spotted on our jaunts making sure the dogs don’t trample all over them of course.

If you are interested to learn more about our treks in Farningham Woods or any other area please don’t hesitate to contact me.
